Accessibility Statement

Centerton Family Eyecare is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

Our Goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice recognition software, or other assistive technologies.

What We Have Done

In building this site, we have worked to:

  • Provide text alternatives for non-text content, including images
  • Ensure all functionality is available by keyboard
  • Use sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Label all form fields clearly
  • Structure content with a logical heading hierarchy
  • Write descriptive link text throughout the site
  • Set the page language so screen readers interpret content correctly
  • Ensure page titles are unique and descriptive
  • We have also enabled an optional accessibility toolbar that allows visitors to adjust text size, line spacing, contrast, and other display preferences to better suit their individual needs. This tool is provided as a convenience for users and complements, rather than replaces, the accessibility work built into the site itself.

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility may be limited:

  • Our embedded review tool on the homepage is provided by a third-party vendor. We have requested accessibility improvements from the provider and will update this page as that progresses.

Third-Party Content

Some content and functionality on this site is provided by third parties, including: embedded maps and online review aggregates. While we work to select accessible tools and advocate for improvements, we cannot guarantee full control over third-party accessibility.
